We have a small group of nurses who care for patients who are unable to visit our surgery. These nurses provide services such as dressings, catheter care, blood testing, end of life care to name but a few.
Our Practice Nurse, Nichola, also doubles up as our Community Nurse. She visits our housebound patients who require more routine care. She provides annual reviews for those with chronic diseases, such as Diabetes and heart disease and, alongside the GP’s she also carries out weekly ward rounds at the two nursing home that we have responsibility for.
We have a group of Health Visitors who care for children and parents in our community.
We have weekly antenatal clinics at the surgery which are attended by new and expectant mothers. Midwives also see patients within the community.
