BLOOD TESTS

If you need a blood test please remember the quickest way to get your tests and results is by attending the phlebotomy clinics at Ipswich Hospital or Riverside Medical Centre, Ipswich. All the required information for your test will be available to staff at these centres via the online ICE system. These centres are open long hours for your convenience and operate largely on a walk-in basis. Please see opening times below:

Saturday mornings from 7.40am to 11.15am

Please note, Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust are closed on bank holidays

 

The Riverside Clinic

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 7.45am to 5.30pm Drop in

Booked Appointments: Monday to Friday 2.00pm to 5.00pm

Remember - you do not need a blood form to attend any of these locations as the request is electronic and the phlebotomist will know what has been requested.

The result is usually available within 48 hours although that does depends on the test. If you are registered for EMIS online access you can get your results online. You can find an application for online access on our website. If you prefer you can contact Reception. If there is need to contact you about the result we will either invite you for an appointment or contact you directly.
